AIOU is seeking dedicated and qualified individuals for the following positions:

AIOU Main Campus

Assistant Director Regional Services (BPS-17)

The Assistant Director Regional Services will be responsible for duties related to regional services. Relevant experience in a Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Body or a University of repute is preferred.

• Education: 2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from an HEC recognized University.

Research Assistant (BPS-16)

The Research Assistant role requires relevant experience, preferably 4 years in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Body, or an HEC recognized University, preferably in BPS-14 or equivalent.

• Education: 16 years of education (1st Class) OR 2nd Class Graduation from an HEC recognized University.

Data Entry Operator (BPS-14)

The Data Entry Operator position requires experience in the relevant field, which is preferable.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree at least 2nd class.
• Skills: Minimum speed of 10,000 key depressions per hour.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of Computer Applications essentials.

Staff Car Driver to VC (BPS-11)

The Staff Car Driver to VC requires 10 years’ experience of driving Staff Car with Head of the Education Institution / Chief Executive / Senior Officer etc.

• Education: At least Middle pass while Matriculate will be preferred.
• License: HTV (PSV) valid driving license.

Driver (BPS-09)

The Driver position requires 10 years’ experience of driving light and heavy vehicles in a Govt./Semi-Govt./Autonomous Body, preferably in an educational institution/university.

• Education: At least Primary/Middle pass while Matriculate will be preferred.
• License: HTV/PSV valid driving license.

Driver (BPS-05)

The Driver position requires 02 years’ experience of driving light/heavy vehicles.

• Education: Literate.
• License: H.T.V./PSV valid driving license.

Naib Qasid (BPS-02)

The Naib Qasid position requires experience of working in offices, which is preferable.

• Education: Literate.

AIOU Regional Centers

Regional Director (Punjab) (BPS-20)

The Regional Director position requires 17 years professional/administrative experience in Grade 17 or above in a relevant field in a Govt./Semi-Govt. or Autonomous Body of repute, preferably in any distance/non-formal institution, out of which 06-years’ mandatory experience in BPS-19 or equivalent.

• Education: 2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from an HEC recognized University.

Additional Regional Director (BPS-19)

The Additional Regional Director position requires 12 years’ research/professional/administrative experience in Grade 17 or above in a relevant field in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Body of repute, preferably in any distance/non-formal institution, out of which 04-years’ mandatory experience in BPS-18 or equivalent.

• Education: 2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from an HEC recognized University.

Deputy Regional Director (BPS-18)

The Deputy Regional Director position requires 05 years’ experience in BPS-17 and equivalent or above in a relevant field in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Body of repute, preferably in any distance/non-formal institution.

• Education: 2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from an HEC recognized University.

Assistant Regional Director (BPS-17)

The Assistant Regional Director position requires relevant experience, preferably in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Body or a University of repute.

• Education: 2nd Class Master’s Degree or equivalent from an HEC recognized University.

Assistant (BPS-15)

The Assistant position involves general office duties and requires proficiency in IT skills as per the specified training.

• Education: Second Class Bachelor’s Degree.
• Skills: Typing speed 30 w.p.m.
• Training: After induction, 6 weeks basis I.T. Training Course (including MS Office) conducted by National Information Technology Board (NITB) or similar Institution.

Driver (BPS-05)

The Driver position requires 02 years’ experience of driving light/heavy vehicles.

• Education: Literate.
• License: H.T.V./PSV valid driving license.

Naib Qasid (BPS-02)

The Naib Qasid position requires experience of working in offices, which is preferable.

• Education: Literate.

Mali (BPS-02)

The Mali position requires 2 years’ field experience in horticultural operation.

• Education: Literate.

Important Instructions

• Candidates selected against their respective provincial quota can be posted to any AIOU Regional Center in that province.
• The eligibility of the candidates shall be determined as per AIOU services statutes 1978 as amended up to 27th April 2026, relevant applicable rules of the Govt., terms and conditions of the advertisement and subsequent shortlisting/scrutiny shall strictly be determined/carried out as per the provisions laid down in the AIOU Recruitment Rules, which are available at AIOU website.
• Maximum age limit as prescribed under Rules shall be relaxed in pursuance of Relaxation of Upper Age Limit Rules, 1993 (amended from time to time), as provided in AIOU Services Statutes 1978 (amended upto 27th April 2026).
• Information claimed in the online application form will be treated as final; subsequent claims of experience and any other, earlier not given in the online application form, are considered afterthought and an attempt to become eligible. Such subsequent claims shall not be accepted.
• The AIOU reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or not to fill any post/withhold the appointment against any post, without assigning any reason thereof.
• The applicant shall provide documentary evidence in support of all information claimed in the online profile/application, as and when required by the University; otherwise, the applicant may be considered ineligible.
• Candidates are required to provide a valid/non-MNP cell number (for SMS), and postal address for TCS/courier delivery. AIOU shall not be responsible for delay in courier or non-receipt of SMS.
• Quota will be observed as per Government instructions/approved by AIOU statutory bodies.
• The University reserves the right to appoint any individual on a regular or contract basis as per requirement.
